About

Helping businesses improve before they invest

Every business has bottlenecks. The important part is finding the right ones before deciding how to fix them.

Kenny, Founder of K. Harbour & Co.

Why this firm exists

K. Harbour & Co. exists because I kept seeing the same pattern. Businesses were sold new technology before anyone had properly understood what was actually slowing them down.

Sometimes the real issue was reporting. Sometimes it was process. Sometimes it was simply that different teams were working toward different goals — and no amount of new software was going to fix that. After working across organisations of very different sizes, I came to the same conclusion every time: technology works best when it supports a well-understood business, not when it’s expected to fix one.

That’s the foundation of this consultancy. We understand the business first, then recommend whatever genuinely helps it move forward — even if the answer is to change very little at all.

How I work

Every engagement starts in the same place: understanding how the business actually operates today, before technology enters the conversation.

  • Diagnosis before recommendation. We look at your goals, processes and people before anything else — technology only enters the conversation once the real problem is clear.
  • Technology is a means, not the goal.Sometimes the answer is a new system. Sometimes it’s using what you already have properly. The recommendation fits the business, not the other way around.
  • Enterprise thinking, practical delivery.Structured, disciplined thinking — without the unnecessary complexity that doesn’t fit a growing business.
  • A long-term relationship, not a one-off report.Meaningful improvement rarely happens overnight. We stay involved as your business evolves.

Let’s start with understanding your business.
